Our U11 girls visited St Brigids last Saturday for a league game played on the All-Weather pitch. Stopping off en route to pick up Ciara & Nia at half time in their U10 outing against BSJ, the 14 Naomh Olaf players were met by a squad of 24 Naomh Bríd players who have real ambitions to win this league outright. The Olafs girls found it difficult to come to terms with the bounce of the artificial pitch and conceded an early goal and a couple of points. However, a tenacious defensive display for the rest of the game limited the home team to just 4 points. The highlights of the day were the two scores from Nia who at 8 years of age is showing immense potential for the future.
