The U-12 hurling teams had mixed fortunes in the Cup competition on Saturday April 17th. Both teams had away games with Team 1 playing St. Peregrines and team 2 playing Cuala.
Team 1 had a comfortable win and were in total control from the start. Everybody played exceptionally well. The table is as follows:
Team 2 weren't as lucky and came out second best when playing a very strong Cuala team. Things just didn't click on the day for the team and we know that this is just a "blip" for them. Their table is as follows:
Sky Sports would probably bill Saturday May 1st as a "Super Saturday" for both teams, and they'd be right!!
Team 1 will play Whitehall Colmcille at home and a win here would guarantee them a play-off for 2nd place in the league. It's a similar story for team 2. They MUST beat Erins Isle to finish second in their group. If they lose, they'll be on the same number of points as Isles and a play-off will decide who comes second and thereby qualify for the semi-final. It's all still to play for.
The following played last Saturday: Glenn Soraghan, Tom McGurk, Rory Gallagher, Ben Thornton, Sean McDaid, Cian Power-Kelly, Jamie Deasy, Eoin Foley, Conor Brady, Jordan O'Connor, Matthew O'Ceallaigh, Tom Keane, Fiachra O'Sullivan, Ryan Murphy, Declan Murphy, Jack Dalton, Matthew Deering, Chloe O'Ceallaigh, David Breathnach, Tristan Kennedy, Cian De Burca, Daniel Stapleton, Eric Stapleton.
