Saturday 24th April Senior Football League

Dolphin Park

Templeogue Synge Street 1 – 14                               Naomh Olaf 1 – 9

Brian Begley opened the scoring for Naomh Olaf with a fine point into a brisk wind.  Templeogue Synge Street replied with three points in a row before Brian Begley added a free, Andy Murphy broke forward and pointed from play and Eoin Kinsella pointed from play.  John McGrath got on the end of a fine passing movement involving Simon Hickey and Eoin Kinsella to finish to the net.  Brian Begley added another free and Templeogue Synge Street pointed twice to leave the score at half-time

Naomh Olaf 1 - 5      Templeogue Synge Street 0 – 5.

The second half opened with a Brian Begley free but Templeogue Synge Street then dominated the exchanges and their speed and good passing saw them score 0 – 4 without reply.  Brian Begley then restored Naomh Olaf’s lead with a point from play.  Templeogue equalised immediately.  Both Eoin Kinsella and Simon Hickey scored from play but Templeogue Synge Street then exerted sustained pressure and attacked repeatedly and dominated the play to such an extent that the Naomh Olaf forwards starved of possession failed to score for the last quarter of the game while Templeogue scored 1 – 4 to win on a score line of 1 – 14 to 1 – 9.
