Naomh Mearnog 0 -12 Naomh Olaf 1 – 9
Naomh Olaf travelled to Portmarnock on Saturday evening for the second last league game of the season. Both teams needed points to try to avoid the relegation playoffs. A tight nervous first half saw some poor finishing from both sides and the half time score had the home side ahead by 0 – 5 to 0 – 4.
A battling performance in the second half by Naomh Olaf looked to have won the points as the game went into stoppage time with the score at 1 – 9 to 0 – 11 but Mearnog were awarded a free in easy range and levelled the match at 1 – 9 to 0 – 12 and the referee blew the final whistle.
