Whitehall Colmcille          1 – 6                       Naomh Olaf        0 – 9

Naomh Olaf hit the ground running at Cloghran on Saturday afternoon and had five points on the board (three from Eoin Kinsella and two from Eoin Christian, all from play) in the first ten minutes.  Whitehall Colmcille struggled with a strong swirling cross-field breeze and scored just one point to leave the half-time score Naomh Olaf 0 – 5, Whitehall Colmcille 0 – 1.

 

Naomh Olaf struggled to score in the second half and Whitehall Colmcille scored two points and then took the lead with a goal with ten minutes to play.  Darragh Maxwell equalised shortly after his introduction and the teams exchanged points before Whitehall went ahead again as the game went into stoppage time.  Fergal McCann, just back from a year abroad, equalised and deep into stoppage time the teams exchanged points again with Eoin Kinsella firing over the final score to draw the game at Whitehall Colmcille 1 – 6, Naomh Olaf 0 – 9.
