Naomh Olaf travelled to Malahide on a lovely evening and produced a fine team performance to take the points.  St Sylvester’s scored two early points but Olaf’s were ahead at the break by 2 – 4 to 0 – 6 boosted by a penalty goal by Eoin Kinsella and a goal from play by Simon Hickey.

With the sun at their backs Olaf’s kept up the pressure and were leading 2 – 10 to 0 – 10 with the end of normal time in sight.  Sylvester’s then scored a penalty on the rebound from a fine stop by Ronan Miley and with the game in injury time were pressing hard for an equalising goal.  The Naomh Olaf defence stood firm and a last attack yielded a pointed free from Cormac Lucey.
