Naomh Olaf        1 – 16                                    St Monica’s         1 – 6

A strong team performance by Naomh Olaf took the points in this AFL game played in wintry conditions on Monday evening.  Naomh Olaf began with three quick points from play and although St Monica’s added a goal to their opening point with ten minutes gone this was the only time the visitors held the lead.  Olaf’s responded well with points from Eoin Kinsella (2), Gary Wilkins, Fergal McCann and Simon Hickey and the half-time score was Naomh Olaf 0 – 9, St Monica’s 1 – 2.

St Monica’s got the first score of the second half but Olaf’s stayed focused and kept the visitors to just three more points while adding 1 – 7 to win by 1 – 16 to 1 – 6.
