Naomh Olaf 2 – 7 St Finian’s (S) 2 – 9 Naomh Olaf played fine football in a thrilling first half against an unbeaten St Finian’s of Swords. Long ball into the forwards paid off handsomely and by half time Olaf’s were leading 2 – 6 to 1 – 3 with Simon Hickey scoring 2 – 1.
The second half was dominated by St Finian’s who built on a goal conceded by defensive errors immediately on the re-start. Finian’s went on to score 1 – 6 (including 3 disputed points) in the half while Olaf’s had a goal disallowed and had to settle for a single point.
