Under 15 Footballers keep it going   28/02/2017

The Naomh Olaf U15 boys team were on the road again at the weekend, travelling to Russell Park to play St. Brigid's in the fourth round of the Division 2 football league. Having won two of their first three league matches the boys were keen to finish the month long series of football games with a win before switching to the hurling league.

A very windy Russell Park greeted both teams with the visitors from Sandyford playing into a strong wind for the first half.   This didn't put the Naomh Olaf lads off and they took control of the game and on the half time whistle led by three points 1:1 to 1:4. The second half was a very one sided affair with the boys from Balally dominating.  Naomh Olaf went on to win the game 1:1 to 2:15, an excellent performance from all the team.

Next weekend the U15's kick off their hurling season with a home game against Ballinteer St. Johns.  Go n-éirí an t-ádh libh.
