Senior Ladies football heading the right way   14/03/2017

The senior ladies played their second match on Wednesday 1st March against a strong St. Jude's team. Right from the start of the game the battle was played out in the centre of the field with many turnovers being forced.  Naomh Olaf were first to score with a free and followed this with three further points from play, which saw them lead at half time on a scoreline of 0:4 to 0:0.

The second half saw a brighter start from St. Jude's which put the Sandyford girls' defence under pressure straight from the throw in.  A brilliant save by the Naomh Olaf keeper prevented a certain goal. This provided the platform for a battling performance throughout the second half against a strong breeze.  The Balally girls held St. Jude's to just a single point while at the other end they scored two more points from the boot of Katie Grimes to leave the final score Naomh Olaf 0-6  St. Jude's 0-1.  An-mhaith a chailíní!!
