Successful and Enjoyable St. Patrick's Day Parade for Naomh Olaf

The St. Patrick's Day Parade in Stepaside proved as much a celebration for Naomh Olaf GAA club as it was a celebration of St. Patrick's Day itself.  A huge turnout from the locality to witness the parade saw David Byrne as Grand Marshall and the Naomh Olaf float leading the parade with its reflection of the Viking history of Olaf providing a colourful and exciting display.  Naomh Pádraig himself would have been proud of the effort put in by all the different organisations which contributed to the celebration of the national patron saint and the many parade watchers were delighted with their day out.  Events like this draw a community together and Naomh Olaf GAA club are delighted to have been afforded the opportunity to take its place among the many community organisations which enrich local life.  To crown the work carried out by the many volunteers, led by John & Emma Somers, Derek Munson, Sarah Kinsella Geoff Gammell and Gerry Donnelly, the Naomh Olaf GAA Club float won the award for best float on the day.
