Caoimhe O'Mahony

Minor Camogie

Caoimhe is a great reader of the game and, while willing to play anywhere for the team, her tenacity and determination are most evident in the half back line. Her long clearances and marking skills have made her one of the first names on the team sheet for both the minor and senior teams.

Congratulations, Caoimhe, very much deserved!

Chloe Ni Cheallaigh

Camogie

Chloe had a brilliant year between the posts for the camogie team playing in Division 4, providing a strong last line of defence. Her shot-stopping, first touch and puck-outs ensure that opponents have to work hard for any scores which keeps the team competitive. Chloe also lines out for Carlow IT, but has no hesitation in making the trip to Dublin to line out for Olafs.

Well deserved, Chloe!

Niamh Donnelly

Ladies Football

2020 was a brilliant year for so many players on the team but Niamh had a fantastic season adding scores to her game from Centre Back and starting the majority of other scores. Along with her robust defending, she never let her standards drop and really stood out, no easy measure on a team with such talent. Winning a Championship was a fantastic reward for all the hard work put in.

Well done, Niamh!

Harrison Byrne

Junior Hurling

Harrison had a terrific season in 2020, displaying great skills and a level headed approach. He, along with his team mates, should be immensely proud of their achievements during the year. Unfortunately the team were denied the opportunity to play their Cup Final due to restrictions but no doubt they will be back stronger and more determined than ever in 2021.

Congratulations, Harrison!

Peter played underage with Stars of Erin and was one of a group of players to transfer to Naomh Olaf for their Under 15 season. His gutsy performances combined with a consistent work rate give rise to a fantastic competitor in both codes. He scored the winning point in the Championship Football Quarter Final much to the delight of his team mates and mentors.

Congratulations, Peter, a well deserved dual award winner!

Eoin has great talent but more importantly showed great determination in 2020 to be involved in both codes and also to commit to UCD at the start of the season. He also led by example on the pitch and always did what was asked of him in any playing position.

Congratulations on both Player of the Year Awards, Eoin!
